Our final PTO meeting for the school year will be held on May 20th. At this meeting we will elect new officers for our board. If you are interested in serving on our board, or would like more information, please contact us at pinonpto@gmail.com.
Here is this week's edition of the Pinon Pawprint: https://secure.smore.com/n/
This is an incredibly busy time of the year with teachers hustling to finish up curriculum instruction, plus multiple testing windows, the Panorama Survey, and several end-of-year events. Please make sure your students are in attendance to the best of your ability. This last quarter will move by quickly.
-Powerschool Registration for next school year is open. This includes incoming preschoolers and kindergartners, and outgoing 6th graders. Sixth graders recently registered for the elective preferences but this does NOT mean they are registered for school. To re-enroll your student sign in to the parent PowerSchool portal at https://laps.powerschool.
Pinon Construction and End of School
IMPORTANT!!
Pinon Families and Caregivers,
I am very excited to share with you that we are making outstanding progress with the new school. It is beautiful. We will be ready to move into the building at the end of May and will start the 25-26 School Year in the new school.
In order to make the move, we will be ending school a few days early for all Pinon students. Staff will need time to pack classroom materials and prepare for the move. The last day of school for all Pinon students will be on Friday, May 23. School will be on a regular full day schedule that day. Preschool students will still have their family event at Ashley pond the morning of May 28. Preschool parents are encouraged to take their student to the pond for this fun family event. You will get more information from your teachers.
We appreciate all of your support and patience through construction and are looking forward to the next phase.
Sincerely,
Jennifer Guy
Superintendent
